Yesterday on Halton news we aired a story on the closure of Kellys bake shop on brant street in downtown Burlington. Since the owners announced they were being forced out of their current location the city of Burlington has received many complaints about the development. Earlier today Jason Agnew spoke with mayor Marianne Meed Ward to get an update on what is actually happening with the property in question... as the mayor explains, this should not have come as a surprise to the bake shop owners.

Ted Arnott has been a fixture in Halton Hills for 35 years, however it was October of last year that the longtime MPP announced he would not be seeking re-election, and thus the search began for the a new candidate to fill his seat. Among the candidates vying for the role were two young Halton Hills councillors. Ward 1's Alex Hilson running for the Ontario Liberal Party, and ward 2 councillor Joseph Racinsky representing the Progressive Conservatives.
