The OPG Winter Festival Of Lights
The 39th annual OPG Winter Festival of Lights began earlier this month in Niagara Falls - Canada’s largest free, outdoor lights festival with with 3 million lights along the Niagara Parkway, Dufferin Islands and across Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls Tourism President Janice Thomson tells the Source what's new this year, including some weekend indoor entertainment sponsored in part by Cogeco.

When You Least Expect It - Lorna Schultz Nicholson
St. Catharines native Lorna Shultz Nicholson's new novel, "When You Least Expect It", was just published last week. It's a story that many who grew up in Niagara will recognize, that of a competitive rower hoping for a scholarship, and maybe one day a seat in an Olympic boat. Lorna joins Mike on Zoom from her home in Edmonton. The book is available now through her website and from Chapters Indigo Canada.
United Way Niagara Update
United Way Niagara kicked off its 2021 campaign on September 15th, with the goal of helping 120,000 people in Niagara this year. We've invited Executive Director Frances Hallworth in to our studio for an update. Mike Balsom brings you this report.
Black Friday in Canada
It's American Thanksgiving this week, followed of course by Black Friday. It used to be that you would have to cross the border to shop Black Friday sales, but these days that's not necessary.
