Big Brothers Big Sisters of Niagara are once again getting students equipped for the new school year. YourTv visited the Pen Centre for the launch of the Big Start Program.

A group of tourism leaders have been meeting for the past 2 years discussing ways that they can work together to help Niagara reach its tourism potential. 

A study of the Lake Ontario shoreline was announced earlier this week by the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority. The study was made possible by a 1.5 million dollar grant from Natural Resources Canada.

Manchester United Legend Wes Brown was in Niagara Wednesday, for a special meet and greet fundraiser for Project SHARE at Doc Magilligan's in Niagara Falls.

After the event, he had the opportunity to visit the Illumination Tower and light the Falls in Manchester United colours!

The Niagara Sunflower Festival for Ukrainian Relief will take place over four days on August 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th at London Born Wine Co. in Beamsville. Jennifer Wittig files this report.
