Melissa Krist slid into the role of Brock University's Athletic Director at the beginning of June. She arrives at Brock after serving in various roles at the University of Toronto for 25 years. Melissa joins Mike Balsom on Zoom to talk about her first month on the job and her hopes for the 900+ student athletes at Brock in the coming year.

Both Canada and the U.S. revealed this week that the border between the two countries will remain closed until at least July 21st. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to ease some restrictions for travelers in the coming weeks, but residents on both sides are itching tor a reopening. The Niagara River Lions open their CEBL season on June 24th in Ottawa against the BlackJacks. Guillaume Boucard, a forward for the River Lions is returning for his 4th season on the team and is looking forward to competing again in Canada. The Federal Government has released details of its spending on its Healthy Communities Initiative. Niagara is set to receive more than $100,000 allocated to five different communities. The Rotary Club of Niagara Falls Sunrise continued their annual Father's Day weekend tradition, with their Rotary Ribfest taking place at Rapidsview Park.
