The Gravenhurst Rotary Club have taken the initiative to recognize the many efforts of our emergencies services through a unique program.  Here's more on that.

Bracebridge OPP faced off with students from Bracebridge Public School in a game of floor hockey in support of The Manna Food Bank.

An Etobicoke man is facing several drug-related charges, following a drug bust in Bracebridge. On Dec. 14 the Bracebridge Community Street Crime Unit conducted an investigation which led to a traffic stop. During this traffic stop, officers arrested the man for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

On Dec. 15, a search warrant was executed in the man's hotel room. Officers found about 193 grams of cocaine, and approximately 12 grams of "purple heroin" which is a combination of heroin and fentanyl. Over $2,600 in Canadian currency was also seized. The total seizure is estimated at over $26,000.

Despite the success of this investigation, the OPP is becoming more concerned about what's coming to our communities.

With christmas holiday season well underway the Bracebridge OPP want to remind you to LOCK IT UP OR LOSE IT!

Hunting season is underway and the OPP wants to make sure you are being safe.

Please be advised that there has been an explosion caused by blasting related to the Sewer and Road Works project in the Ontario/Kimberley/Church Street area in the Town of Bracebridge. The blasting has resulted in property damage on Kimberley Avenue. Senior District Staff, emergency services and other specialist are on-site investigating the situation and assessing risk. We have limited information at this time, however we understand that there are no personal injuries. There is property damage and more information will be provided when available. Due to the situation, Kimberly Drive is closed to traffic until further notice.

A high number of 911 calls are dispatched regularly due to pocket dialing.

Bracebridge OPP are currently investigating several incidents of counterfeit U.S. Currency, particularly $50 bills that have been passed in the Gravenhurst area. Here's more on that.
