Hospice Muskoka says they are full of patients at the moment and even though restrictions are in place for Covid-19, Executive Director, Sandra Winspear, says it's been a rewarding experience getting to know everyone.

We've heard a lot about how this pandemic has hit local businesses hard due to the strict measures put in place by the province during the two lockdowns we've had in place. But, even harder hit are the local artisans who create products locally and try to sell them through local businesses or even through social media. That's why local teacher Jacki McPherson came up with the idea of an online marketplace to help promote these artisans and their wares.

A boil water advisory for a massive portion of Bracebridge is in effect this week.

The lockdown is putting a lot of stress on organizations at the start of 2021, but some services still need to stay open to provide help to those most in need in the community. Organizations like Gravenhurst Against Poverty.

Various community officials and even citizens of Muskoka have been calling for Simcoe and Muskoka to be split up and considered differently when it comes to COVID precautions under Ontario's framework. Currently, we are in the Red Zone, more because of a rise in cases in the Simcoe part of our region. And, Doctor John Simpson, a local physician, says he believes that might be a good thing in terms of how the cases are being dealt with behind the scenes with medical professionals.
