The objective of this course is to make people interested in learning Spanish comfortable with the language by learning to communicate effectively using basic sentences when traveling to a Spanish speaking country. This is the perfect first step to understand the language, how it works, and how comfortable you will feel learning Spanish as a second language. Email me for Registration: elizabethrt@gmail.com We will meet at the Burlington Public Library. This is a 6 week workshop. We will meet once a week for 1 hr on Fridays from 1-2pm.
Community Event - Peterborough/Lindsay - Hutchison House PA Day Camp: Kaleidoscopes
Kaleidoscopes were being mass manufactured by 1874, this day we will be learning about the different types and creating our own kaleidoscopes. Have fun with this PA Day Camp on Friday April 11, 2025 from 9:30am-noon. Cost per child is $25. Children are required to bring their own peanut free snack. Registration is required. The Pembroke Regional Hospital is your community hospital. We provide many specialized regional services and are a teaching centre affiliated with the University of Ottawa, providing learning experiences for a variety of health care professionals and delivering a comprehensive range of high quality health services. The Board of Directors serve as stewards as they govern and lead the organization; governance responsibilities include oversight and accountability for: • Mission, vision and values • Strategic planning • Financial stewardship • Quality and performance monitoring • Stakeholder communication The Pembroke Regional Hospital is receiving applications for the Board of Directors and Community Representatives on Board Committees. Applicants to the Board of Directors should be prepared to make a significant commitment for a three-year term (with the possibility to reapply for two additional terms). Community Representatives on Board Committees are appointed annually. Ideal candidates will have the knowledge, skill and experience that will enable them to contribute to the Hospital, support the core values of quality and compassionate care and reflect the diversity of the community we serve.
