Community Event - Burlington/Oakville - Theatre Burlington - New Website
As summer temps continue to soar, things are also heating up at Theatre Burlington, with rehearsals underway for our first production of the 2025-26 season and the launch of a new website.
“The Birds and the Bees” by Mark Crawford tells the story of newly divorced Sarah who moves in with her mother, Gail. But Gail has other things on her mind; why do her honeybees keep dying, what’s the deal with her flirtatious neighbour Earl, and what’s the secret the idealistic Masters student Ben is hiding.
This comedy examines all types of relationships and will leave your heart feeling full.
Directed by Francesca Brugnano and produced by Michelle Spanik, “The Birds and the Bees” is the first production of our all-Canadian playbill. The show runs from October 17 to November 1st.
The cast includes Julie Donoahue as Gail, Raymond Beauchemin as Earl, Heather Nutt as Sarah and Jeff Nguyen as Ben. Collectively this group of actors has almost 40 years of experience, but it’s their first time on stage with Theatre Burlington.
Meantime, as rehearsals continue, techies have been working behind the scenes prepping our new and improved website.
It’s much easier to navigate, with more pictures and graphics, lots of information about the upcoming season, how to order tickets, and ways to become a member of the Theatre Burlington family.
Season tickets are always available, and this year there are a number of options to choose from. The box office will open for individual ticket sales today (August 5th). Please check out our new website at theatreburlington.on.ca or call the box office at 905-639-7700.
The Theatre Burlington Drama Centre is located on Teen Tour Way, behind the Central Park bandshell and beside Central Library.
