Community Care will be hosting a webinar on May 9th, 2024 at 1pm entitled "Native Plants and Pollinators". The speaker is Lise Bois, Co-Chair of The Prince Edward County Horticulture Society. Join Lise as she discusses the importance of native plants and pollinators, and how to use them in your garden.

Curbside pickup meal for seniors, May 16th, 2024 – pick up in Bloomfield

Prince Edward Community Care holds monthly curbside pick-up of meals. This event is on Thursday, May 16th, 2024, and the pickup location is the Bloomfield Town Hall, 289 Bloomfield Main Street, Bloomfield. Chef Bill Grieve of Wheelhouse and Occasions catering is preparing a scrumptious meal. The meal includes homemade soup, roast loin of pork, potatoes, vegetables, and lemon meringue pie for dessert. The cost is $20.00/meal and seniors 60+ can order by calling the Community Care office at 613-476-7493. All meals must be paid for in advance. Meals will be packaged hot and ready to be picked up at the Bloomfield Town Hall. Only those who preorder and pay will be served. To order, or for more information, call 613-476-7493. Delivery can be arranged for seniors who require it. Orders will be taken until Monday, May 13th, 2024. www.communitycareforseniors.org

The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's for Quinte West & Brighton will be hosted on Saturday, May 25th, 2024  at the Centennial Park Pavilion in Quinte West. Registration opens at 9:30 am, and the Walk is from 10 am - 12 pm along the Centennial Park waterfront trail. Everyone is welcome to join us for this important community fundraiser.  There is no minimum fundraising amount to participate, but everyone who raises $50+ will receive a t-shirt, while supplies last. To register, print a pledge form or learn more visit www.walkforalzheimers.ca.

Join us at the Walk near you to support your local Alzheimer Society who remains less than 50% funded by the Ministry of Health. ALL funds raised stay local!
