This has been a difficult year for so many, including charities.  The Sarnia Organ Donor Awareness (SODA) group, run by a dedicated group of volunteers, has had to cancel both of our major fundraisers this year. One of the main things that we do is provide financial assistance to transplant patients within Lambton County. As patients still need assistance, we have chosen to run a Holiday Raffle. All proceeds will go to patient assistance and awareness. Tickets are $5 or 3 for $10. Cash Prizes are $500, $200, $100. You can contact our office 519-344-7777, email SarniaOrganDonors@gmail.com  or message through our Facebook page Facebook.com/SarniaOrganDonors

Community Event - Sarnia - Coldest Night of the Year 2021 - We NEEDr You

* It's COLD OUT THERE !! *

NeighbourLink Sarnia-Lambton is a not for profit organization that is completely funded by local organizations, groups, businesses and individuals. There is no Government funding associated with NeighbourLink's community. The CNOY fundraiser is the only yearly fundraiser hosted by NeighbourLink and it brings in 25-30% of the yearly outreach budget. So as you can see this walk-a-thon in the cold of the night is important to NeighbourLink and to those who look to NeighbourLink for support. As we have said in the past and will continue to say "We CANNOT do this without YOU!"

Over the past 3 years businesses and individuals like yourselves have raised over $55,000.00 to support those who turn to NeighbourLink in Sarnia and Lambton County. That money paid a lot of utility bills, a lot of rent, a lot of other bills and needs that people in our community otherwise could not have covered. In some cases it may have kept someone off the streets.

So in the days ahead we ask that you have a look and see if you can be of assistance in 2021 - perhaps as a sponsor business - perhaps as a team captain - perhaps as a walker - perhaps as a volunteer - or perhaps as one donating funds - in any case take a moment and ponder this need and let us know how you can help. Join our Team and be part of the puzzle that makes up the whole of this beautiful picture - the picture of giving.

Well CNOY2021 is official so get your Team setup and set your goals and signup your team walkers. OR  sign up with TEAM "NEIGHBOURS WITH SOLE " the NeighbourLink team. Just go to the website and click on the Register to Walk + Fundraise tab (the yellow toque with the snowflake) and follow the instructions. In any case go to the website and have a look.     https://cnoy.org/location/sarnia

The Sarnia WALK begins and ends at The Sarnia Christian School, at 1273 Exmouth St, corner of Pontiac Drive and Exmouth Street. But teams of up to 10 walkers can select their own routes more suitable for them during this covid season. Donning iconic toques, on one of the evenings between February 8 and February 20, participants will walk a 2km or 5km route, warming up with toasty drinks at the covid aware rest stop, or in drink dispensers they have brought with them.
