Well CNOY2021 - NeighbourLink Sarnia-Lambton website has gone LIVE! Go have a look and get your Team setup and set your goals and signup your team walkers. OR you can sign up with TEAM "NEIGHBOURS WITH SOLE " the NeighbourLink team. Just go to the website and click on the Register to Walk + Fundraise tab (the yellow toque with the snowflake) and follow the instructions. In any case go to the website and have a look.     https://cnoy.org/location/sarnia

The Sarnia WALK begins and ends at The Sarnia Christian School, at 1273 Exmouth St, corner of Pontiac Drive and Exmouth Street. But teams of up to 10 walkers can select their own routes more suitable for them during this covid season. Donning iconic toques, on one of the evenings between February 8 and February 20, participants will walk a 2km or 5km route, warming up with toasty drinks at the covid aware rest stop, or in drink dispensers they have brought with them.

Although the walk may appear a bit different in 2021 the goal remains the same - partner with NeighbourLink Sarnia-Lambton and touch lives in need. Over the past 3 years walkers and sponsors have raised well over $55,000.00 assisting in reaching out to many people across Sarnia and Lambton County. WOW!

Lets not let this covid season stop us from teaming up and sharing our love.      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ef6A5t4EG3c

We cannot do this alone Like the missing piece of a puzzle - the picture is not complete until all the pieces come together.- "Its COLD OUT THERE"

Hope Forman, performer, choreographer, music theatre instructor, is creating a free children’s virtual holiday concert in the hopes of spreading cheer to seniors and to the greater Windsor Essex community this holiday season!

Hope, who is a University of Windsor Bachelor of Arts (Music) grad, now completing her final year at the faculty of Education, has found a way for young artists to be able to connect with the community even during these most challenging times. Since children cannot perform in person at retirement and long term care homes this year, she is editing and producing a virtual performance which will provide them with a wonderful way to reach out and share their inner sparkle with everyone in the community.

This virtual concert will feature beloved holiday classics performed by over twenty talented children ranging in ages from 8-16, from Leamington, Kingsville, Windsor and even one all the way from Alberta. This magical creation is  intended to be a fun sing-a-long which will have everyone bursting out spontaneously in song. Hope has been putting together virtual performances since the onset of the pandemic utilizing the talents of children she’s encountered as an instructor. These fabulous creative musical theatre loving children have once again managed to exceed all expectations when approached to perform. The children were super excited right from the start, finding their holiday spirit in late October when they began recording their performances from the safety of their homes. These extraordinary children have gone all out, some decked in costumes and using props they have created all on their own. This concert will definitely be a treat sweeter than any candy cane ever tasted!

This fun virtual holiday concert is free and open for all to enjoy!  It will be available on YouTube beginning on December 4th. A link will be posted on the Face Book event: Jingle All the Way (A Virtual Holiday Concert) https://www.facebook.com/events/923923698378097/

During these most challenging and potentially very lonely times, the arts prove to be more essential than ever. The children’s inner sparkle and holiday spirit will prove to be contagious, showing us all that we can shine through whatever challenges may lie ahead for us this holiday season, and always.

For more information please contact Hope at hopeforman2012@gmail.com. Also, for any seniors’ homes who require a dvd copy of the performance to show residents please contact Hope by email.

Event is virtual. A YouTube link will be posted in the Facebook event.
