Community Event - Milton/Halton Hills - Milton Car Audio Cruz Back For A Second Month

Mark your calendars and plan to attend!!! The Milton Car Audio Cruz is back for a second straight month on Wednesday August 27th -- and organizer Enzo Turco wants 100 or more cars at the show this time out  to impress spectators, including classic automobiles, modern muscle cars and tuners! The totally free Milton Car Audio Cruz takes place from 5:30 p.m. to dusk in the parking lot of the Connect Centre/Milton Bible Church at 121 Chisholm Drive in Milton. There are food and ice cream trucks on site, selling their goods at reasonable prices. A 50/50 draw will be held in support of a local charity as well as to defray any organizational costs. The last show of the 2025 season will take place on Thursday September 25th. See you there!!!

Get first access to the incredible selection of books at the Kingston Symphony Volunteers Book Fair by purchasing an Early Entry ticket for opening night. A ticket lets you shop from 4-4:30 p.m. before the Book Fair officially starts at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Tickets are $25 each and only 50 tickets will be sold. Entry at 4:30 p.m. is $5 and these tickets are available at the door. Entry on all other dates of the Book Fair is free.

Please come and join a friendly group of amateur gardeners interested in learning more about all aspects of gardening.

Join Dave, “The Beekeeper” at “Backed by Bees”, for an engaging exploration of honey’s incredible legacy and the evolution of beekeeping. From the earliest depictions of honey hunters in ancient cave art to the development of the modern hive, Dave will guide us through millennia of honey’s journey through human history. He’ll reveal how beekeeping techniques evolved across cultures and continents, sharing his own experiences in the field to illustrate the essential role bees play today in ecosystems and agriculture. This talk is perfect for anyone curious about the timeless bond between humans and bees.To participate in the honey tasting a charge of $3 will be collected at the door.
