Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority is banning plastic bags from recycling. As of June 1, any recycle boxes/carts that contain plastic bags will NOT be picked up. Plastic bags with a recycling symbol are banned also. This ban applies to Windsor & Essex County single family homes, townhouses/condos, apartment buildings, businesses, institutions and industry.

The Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region has launched a new program for care partners of people living with Young Onset Dementia (dementia diagnosed prior to age 65). This will be a facilitated group intended to connect people who are caring for a person living with Young Onset Dementia. The intent of the program is to offer a place where care partners can access support and engage socially.
