Set during a weekend in an English country manor in 1932, Death by Design is a delightful and mysterious “mash-up” of two of the greatest English writers of all time. Edward Bennett, a playwright, and his wife, Sorel Bennett, an actress, flee London and head to Cookham after a disastrous opening night. But various guests arrive unexpectedly – a conservative politician, a fiery socialist, a nearsighted ingénue, a zany modern dancer – each with a long-held secret. When one of the guests is murdered, it’s left to Bridgit, the feisty Irish maid with a macabre interest in homicide, to solve the crime.

La Société Alzheimer Laurentides tiendra son cinquième colloque régional le samedi 28 septembre prochain.
L’événement aura lieu à l’endroit suivant : Sous le charme des érables, situé au 1062, boulevard Arthur-Sauvé à Saint-Eustache de 10h00 à 16h00.
Trois conférences seront présentées. La première sera animée par le DR Serge Gauthier, C.M., C.Q., MD, FRCPC qui nous entretiendra des Nouveautés sur le diagnostic et le traitement de la maladie d’Alzheimer.
La seconde aura comme thème La stimulation cognitive, prévenir et vivre avec les maladies de la mémoire…Mission possible. Elle sera donnée par une intervenante de la Clinique de la mémoire du CISSS des Laurentides.
Finalement, la troisième conférence en sera une humoristique, ayant pour titre Aider un proche malade sans le devenir soi-même.
"Dans le personnage de BLANDINE, (dame âgée de 85 ans qui vient de rentrer son mari au CHSLD qu’elle appelle affectueusement le Centre de Hash et de L.S.D.), les participants seront sensibilisés sur différentes façons d’aider leur proche malade."
Un dîner sera disponible pour les personnes présentes sur place.
De plus un kiosque sera tenu par nos intervenantes.

Boxes and Blankets is an annual event, organized by Chatham Hope Haven in which people sleep for a night, on the street, with only boxes and blankets. The objective is to shed light on the issue of homelessness, as well as raise money for the mission, which opened in November, 2017.
