Explore your inner artist at a Paint Party with Luanne Hartman. The picture to be painted is entitled “a Daisy Splendour”.  All supplies included to complete this 12X16” acrylic painting, with step by step guidance. Bring your summer photos and enjoy a morning of making memories last.  This scrapbooking demonstration is loaded with information and techniques.  Pam Huckle will share a wealth of information and instruction for an hour on Tuesday, August 13th at Sophiasburgh Town Hall (2771 County Road 5 in Demorestville). This morning event is free and open for seniors 60+ who enjoy a little fun competition and conversation. There is something wonderfully Canadian about this simple board game. It came out of rural Canada around the time of Confederation – the World Championship is held each year in Tavistock, ON – which would give it an earlier claim on the national psyche than hockey! Crokinole is easy to learn. This lively game can be played individually or on teams. This event is on Friday, August 9th from 9:15 to 10:45am. Refreshments included. County Seniors Centre members are encouraged to bring friends to play and enjoy the benefits of becoming a member of the County Seniors Centre.
