Some summer nights are so hot, even the wind can’t be bothered to move! What better time to head to the park with family and neighbours for a cooling fire truck sprinkler run, a visit with Sparky and a chance to meet Windsor Fire and Rescue Services and Fire Prevention staff for truck tours and fire safety information?

Windsor Fire & Rescue Services will be continuing their Hot Summer Nights Fun Blast tradition, visiting a different park in all ten wards each Thursday from 5:30-7:30 pm. Learn more atwww.windsorfire.com or follow us on Twitter, @WindsorFire1. We have new community partners on board this year too, taking advantage of the great opportunity to connect with the community.

Residents have the chance to go over some lifesaving tips and reminders, while getting acquainted with Windsor Fire and Rescue staff. Kids can check out the fire trucks, participate in hand-on activities and ask any fire safety questions. The firefighters will be grilling hotdogs and providing water for free to those who attend on a first come first serve basis.
