The Bank Theatre Proudly Presents The Grand Reveal Featuring Russell deCarle on Friday, August 30. Show 7:30pm, doors 6:30pm. Tickets $35 online only https://russelldecarle.bpt.me

Songs that touch the heart and celebrate the truth providing warmth and company in the noise of the crowd with Russell deCarle and his band!

Known throughout North America as the lead singer and founding member of multi-platinum country-roots group Prairie Oyster, Russell deCarle has spent the last decade carving out a solo career, concentrating on songwriting and rhythm guitar playing.

Russells sound is a celebration and culmination of a lifetime of music, including a time when Buck Owens, The Beatles, and Frank Sinatra would all be played back to back on the radio.

He is currently touring in support of his third recording, a studio album of mostly original material titled Alone In This Crowd, released in July 2017. The album offers a fluent collection of songs that mix southern soul and restrained balladry, with obvious touches of southern soul, jazz, blues, and old-school country. deCarles songwriting has absorbed all those influences, and he avidly listens to both soul singers and the men and women who made early country music so compelling.

Transit Windsor will host an open house in the lobby of 350 City Hall Square West on Wednesday, June 19 from 3pm to 7pm to kick off the second round of public consultation on the More Than Transit project.

The open house will coincide with a presentation at the Environment, Transportation, and Public Safety Standing Committee meeting, which will be held at 4:30pm in Council Chambers. The draft vision, goals, policies and route structure for Transit Windsor will be presented.

The findings from this yearlong review will inform a plan that consists of short-to-long-term actions and recommendations that will create and support an improved overall transit system for the city. So far, over 2,000 Windsorites have shared their vision for the future of public transit in Windsor, but we still want to hear from you.

An online survey will also be made available at www.morethantransit.ca. Feedback on the proposed plan, including policies, route network, service levels, and other recommendations can be provided until Friday July 12, 2019. The final plan is to be presented to Council in fall 2019.
