Join Google Canada, AlphaKOR Group, Kelcom and Shopify in Building a Better Business Through Technology

Tech Show 2019 will take place Tuesday, October 22 with the new time of doors opening at 4:30 p.m. at Caesars Windsor (377 Riverside Dr. E). The event will conclude at 9:00 pm.

The Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce and our partner WEtech Alliance along with presenting sponsor AlphaKOR Group are excited to announce a powerful lineup of speakers for this year's 2019 Tech Show titled Tech Enabled: Building a Better Business Through Technology.
Google Canada's Casey Lynn, Strategic Partner Manager, will kick off the evening as our keynote speaker discussing 'Marketing in the Age of Assistance' powered by Postmedia Solutions. The event will conclude with two panel discussions on tech tools and trends including discussions on cybersecurity, data analytics, e-commerce, internet of things, AI, and virtual and augmented reality with local tech experts from AlphaKOR Group, Kelcom, Shopify, Splice Digital, and Red Piston.

"This year, Tech Show 2019 is all about tech-enablement," said WERCC President & CEO Rakesh Naidu. The goal is to connect our business community with leading industry and local technology experts speaking on tech solutions, tools and trends,"

Tech Show 2019 is open to everyone. Attendees will pick up technology tips and trends from the guest speakers as well as having the chance to network with exhibitors, enjoy food station appetizers and mingle in the Kelcom Tech Lounge.

"I heard it best in a recent Recode Decode podcast from Katrina Lake, Founder, CEO at Stitch Fix "If you want to be relevant 10 years from now, every company is going to be a tech company," says WEtech Alliance President and CEO Yvonne Pilon. This year's Tech Show 2019 will demonstrate to entrepreneurs, to small business, to large companies that even if you're not producing a tech product, using the right tech effectively can help you become more versatile, profitable, and most importantly, sustainable."

The Town of Tecumseh is seeking volunteers for the 2019-2020 Snow and Leaf Angels Program, commencing October 31, 2019, through to March 31, 2020.

“Our volunteers are the backbone of many of our programs in Tecumseh,” said Gary McNamara, Mayor of Tecumseh. “The Snow and Leaf Angels are truly angels to many residents in the community and we are so grateful for their time and effort through some of the worst weather, helping those in need.”

Snow and Leaf Angels are matched with seniors and persons with physical disabilities living in the Town to clear snow and leaves from Town sidewalks and driveway entrances for those in need of assistance.

Last year the eleven volunteers in the program, who were able to support over 20 residents in Town, were recognized at the annual Volunteer Appreciation dinner. Angels are provided with toques, and shovels, where necessary, and are identified to the residents they support. The Program is a great way for families to volunteer together, or for high school students to complete their 40 hours of community service.

To learn more about the Program and how to volunteer, visit the Town’s website or contact the Tecumseh Town Hall. Seniors (those ages 65 or older) and persons with physical disabilities can also contact the Town to apply for assistance.

Information on this and all Town news and events is available at www.tecumseh.ca, www.tecumsehapp.ca, Twitter (@TownofTecumseh), and Facebook (Town of Tecumseh).
