County Seniors Centre Luncheon Social and Craft– September 13th, 2019 – Hillier Town Hall This is an exclusive luncheon open to members of the County Seniors Centre Members of the County Seniors Centre are invited to bring a guest and enjoy a scrumptious meal on Friday, September 13th at Hillier Town Hall starting at 12:00 noon. There is a Harvest menu for this event of butternut squash soup, turkey, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetable, apple crisp dessert, cider and coffee, all catered by Bill Grieve, the chef with Wheel House and Occasions Catering. The cost is $10.00 per person. Bring your own plate, cup and cutlery. Following the meal there will be an overview of upcoming activities and programs. The fun and simple Harvest Centrepiece craft begins at 1:00pm. The cost for the craft is $5.00 per person. Attend the lunch or craft or both. Enjoyable and social afternoon gathering. It's that time of year again for our Apple Pie Fest and Classic Car Show! Join us Sunday, September 15th from 2 PM to 4 PM at the North Lanark Regional Museum for this fall fundraiser that is a can't-miss for anyone who loves cars and apple pie!
Did you know that the village of Appleton was originally called Apple Tree Falls in honour of the abundance of apple trees growing along the banks of the Mississippi River? Celebrate the village's namesake with a slice of home baked apple pie and a scoop of vanilla ice cream! While you're here, check out the classic cars and enjoy all that the North Lanark Regional Museum has to offer.

Piloga…embrace something new. Yoga can be modified to be safe and comfortable for anyone. Piloga is the combination of Pilates and Yoga designed to build strength and tone muscles while improving flexibility and fostering mind and body harmony. Gentle movements will stretch the entire body and leave it feeling rested and restored. Certified fitness instructor Tracy Reid leads this 10 week program on Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:15am at Hillier Town Hall located at 18560 Loyalist Parkway in Hillier. Experienced facilitator Ruth Dwight will lead this Circle. Simply put, it’s a group of people, from a few, to many, sitting on chairs, experiencing the spontaneous creation of music on a variety of drums and percussion instruments. Light instruction and technique will be provided with the ultimate goal to play authentic Djembe rhythms. This 8 week series begins Monday, September 9th from 10:00 to 11:00am at Bloomfield Town Hall (289 Bloomfield Main St). No charge for County Seniors Centre members. Nonmembers $5.00. This program is offered in conjunction with The Prince Edward County Public Library. Space is limited, call the County Seniors Centre to register at 613-476-7493.
