In this free training program participants learn to manage their income to meet their needs. Topics include:

  • Understanding Credit & Debt
  • Budgeting
  • Linking with Community Resources
  • Guest speakers
  • And more

 

The program uses a hands-on approach. Students learn by participating in workshops, and sharing experiences, while Tri-County Literacy Council offers its expertise in literacy and links with community partners. Money is a serious matter but learning about it can be fun.

This course starts October 7th. Class runs Mondays and Wednesdays - 1 pm to 4 pm for 7 weeks. For more information or to register, call 613-932-7161.

Community Event - Belleville - Toronto Welsh Male Voice Choir @ Bridge St. Church

The popular TWMVC draws on the great Welsh tradition of singing hymns and songs born of the mountains and valleys of Wales.  At the same time, it emphasizes a multicultural context in its broad repertoire, which also includes spirituals, operatic arias, Canadian folk songs, Broadway show tunes and contemporary music.  Their blend of traditional and contemporary music - all sung off-book in accordance with tradition - appeals to a broad audience and is sure to please!  Admission by freewill offering - pay what you can to attend this community concert - intended to be affordable for all.
