Genealogy Drop-In sponsored by Leeds & Grenville Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society at our Archives/Library at 5 Henry Street, Brockville (in the basement at the Brockville Museum). Drop in any time from 10:00 am until noon on Wednesday June 5th and 19th. Members of the local Branch will be on hand to answer questions to help you in your genealogy research. Come build your family tree. This is a free event. The Archives are also open every afternoon Monday-Saturday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm from June until Labour Day weekend, and anyone is welcome to drop in for research and assistance with their genealogy. All welcome!

The June meeting of Leeds & Grenville branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society will be held on Monday June 10th at 7:30 pm. at the Brockville Museum. Our presenter, Shirley-Ann Pyefinch, has been researching her family history for over 40 years, and has taught workshops on family history and preservation throughout Ontario. She volunteers at the Ottawa Family History Centre and works as a professional Records Manager for the Canadian federal government. Wondering how to find your ancestors in FamilySearch and manage your Family Tree? Learn what free resources about your ancestors are available for you at FamilySearch. Learn how to use other free tools like Family Tree, and Memories to preserve your family history for generations. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Leeds & Grenville OGS Archives, located in the basement of Brockville Museum, is participating in Leeds County Heritage Network’s first Leeds Heritage Day event on May 25th from 10 am. - 4 pm. The public is invited to experience the many resources available at our archives. Volunteers will be available to assist with family history research and with digital scanning of your documents. Bring a USB stick to save your material. Come and find out more about your family history and preserve your valuable documents!
