Photo identification showing proof of address must be provided to collect the sandbags. Additional bags can be purchased at hardware stores or online.

Bags can be picked up at the Tecumseh Arena, 12021 McNorton Street, during the following hours:

Following the long weekend, hours of pick-up will be 8:30 to 4:30. Times may be adjusted as necessary with full details on times and locations available at www.tecumseh.ca.

Sand is available in the Lakewood Park South parking lot. Owners are required to bring their own shovels and fill the bags themselves. Volunteers are being organized to assist with bag filling and loading. Sandbags not provided by the Town may be filled at this location as well.

Examples of sandbag walls will be on display in the parking lot to demonstrate how to build effective protection. The Town requests that this example not be destroyed or removed. A full video on building a sandbag wall is available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rj7aUwIHYlw.
