Community Event - Peterborough/Lindsay - KAPEX 2019 - Peterborough Regional Stamp Show
The Kawartha Stamp Club invites the public to their 63rd annual stamp show and exhibition on Saturday, April 13th from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Evinrude Centre, 911 Monaghan Rd., Peterborough. This is the only regional stamp show for the Peterborough area. There is lots of free parking, and is a free entry event, with a free gift for every child who attends. There will be up to twelve stamp dealers from around Ontario, Canada Post, raffles, draw prizes, table auctions, club books, juried stamp exhibits, a canteen and a special limited edition “Show Cover” (envelope) to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the non-stop Transatlantic Crossing by plane. Everyone is welcome to this free annual all age’s event.

Join the Pembroke Public Library for a Special Performance from Junkyard Symphony happening on Thursday, March 14th at 10:00 am!

Community Event - Niagara - Marcel Dionne at the Welland Museum Saturday March
Guest speaker and former NHL Hall of Famer Marcel Dionne will be at the Welland Museum on Saturday March 9th from 11am - 2 pm. Autograph opportunities and light lunch and beverages are included in ticket price.
Cost: $15 per person for non museum members, and $12 per person for museum members.

Next meeting of Kingston & District Branch, United Empire Loyalists’ Association of Canada is on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Paul's Anglican Church Hall, 137 Queen Street (at Montreal). Speakers Angela and Peter Johnson (Dominion Co-Genealogists) will present "How to Document Your Loyalist Ancestor".
Visitors are always welcome.
And why not join us beforehand for a sandwich 'n squares lunch (11:30 a.m. for noon seating). Cost: just $4.00 for those not asked to bring food. A great way to meet other Loyalist descendants and folks interested in early Canadian history!

We invite you to make a difference in the life of someone who is blind or partially sighted by volunteering as a Vision Mate for just a couple of hours a week. As a Vision Mate you will receive training and then be matched with someone living with vision loss in your area, to help them with everyday activities like reading the paper, going for walks or just visiting.
