“LOVE YOUR GREATS – THE SEARCH FOR ENVIRONMENTAL OPTIMISM”
The Rotary Clubs of Sarnia, Sarnia-Bluewaterland, and Sarnia Lambton After Hours are sponsoring a presentation by Jennifer Pate aimed at raising awareness about pollution, especially plastics and chemical toxins. The presentation will be given by Jennifer Pate of Bayfield. She is a geographer, entrepreneur and co-founder of an organization deeply concerned about pollution in the Great Lakes.
The presentation will take place at the Sarnia Library Auditorium commencing at 7 PM. Admission is FREE.

Survivors of Stroke Niagara, a Chapter of March of Dimes Canada, is participating in the annual March of Dimes Canada Walk 'n' Roll event at The Pen Centre, St. Catharines on Saturday, June 1, 2019, 9 am to 4 pm, with a ribbon cutting & walk at 3 pm. A display booth will be set up beside Foot Locker. Stroke survivors and caregivers will secure pledges then complete a designated course at the mall as a way of fundraising and raising awareness for Survivors of Stroke Niagara and March of Dimes Canada programs and services. Since its inception, Walk 'n' Roll has raised over $435,000 nationally. Survivors of Stroke Niagara hopes to match or exceed last year's total which was over $10,000.

May the Fourth Be With You on Free Comic Book Day at Adventure Bay, Chimczuk Museum and Rogues Gallery
In a match made in comic book heaven, Free Comic Book Day and “May the Fourth Be With You” coincide this year on May 4, 2019. Adventure Bay Family Water Park Presented by WFCU Credit Union, Chimczuk Museum and Rogues Gallery Comics will all be in on the intergalactic action!
Comic enthusiasts, space invaders and heroes big and small are welcome, as Rogues Gallery celebrates its fourteenth Free Comic Book Day by teaming up with its neighbours, making this annual event another true community extravaganza.
Starting at 11am, comic enthusiasts can obtain free comics from Rogues, then visit Adventure Bay and Chimczuk Museum to pick up a couple more (while supplies last). Regular Saturday hours are in effect for the water park (10am to 8pm). Visitors can also enjoy free admission to the Chimczuk Museum throughout the day, along with superhero sketches, balloon animals and magic shows from 12-4pm.
