The Rotary Club of LaSalle Centennial is pleased to announce it will sponsor a LaSalle student, ages 16-18 to participate in Adventures in Citizenship program hosted by the Rotary Club of Ottawa in the nations’ capital.

This year marks the third year the Rotary Club of LaSalle is sponsoring a  youth to attend this exciting program in Ottawa. The program runs from April 28 to May 1, 2019. The Rotary Club of LaSalle-Centennial will absorb all the costs for the youth to attend this program.

Adventures in Citizenship aims to provide a unique opportunity to gain a better understanding of our country. By meeting political leaders, senior officials and others, participants will learn a great deal about our democratic institutions. Youth will also be able to participate in discussions and learn to appreciate the diversity of Canada, as well as the privileges and responsibilities of Canadian citizenship. Only 200 youth from across Canada are chosen for this opportunity.  All participants are sponsored by their local Rotary clubs.

The Rotary Club of LaSalle Centennial continues to strive to support our local youth and their development. We invite students who are residents of LaSalle, ages 16-18 to apply for this opportunity.

We are looking for young people with excellent potential to become or have already demonstrated they are community leaders.

In order to apply through the Rotary Club of LaSalle Centennial, youth must complete an application form by February 20th, 2019.  Applications can be obtained by emailing lasallcentennial@gmail.com or can be found in the Guidance departments of Sandwich Secondary or St. Thomas of Villanova.
