Bluegrass crowd-pleasers, Remington Ryde has been touring the United States and Canada for twelve years. The band performs over 100 shows each year. Their distinct sound and old-time flair can be attributed to the bluegrass-rich area of Pennsylvania from which they hail. Over the last two years, the band has received five SPBGMA award nominations. Founding member Frankhouser provides his talents on guitar and lead vocals, and his showmanship and chemistry with the audience quickly turn fans into family.

Come see our feature artist Evan Rotella rock out some tunes. Evan has been on stage with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nile, Steve Earle and more. We're excited to have him return to Java 98. Doors open at 6:30 pm for sign up musicians. $3 gets you in, youth and teen are free. Proceeds from the door will go to Evan's charity of choice - Light of Day for Parkinson's and Cancer research. We're located at 3855 St. Peter Ave in Niagara Falls. Lavenders Blue is an independent film which originated and was created by a group of committed artists in North Bay, Ontario. Featuring local actors, musicians, and filmmakers, it has been almost a decade in the making and is finally ready to be shared with the world.

A Q&A with some of the cast and crew will follow the screening.

Come out for dinner at the Optimist Hall on Tuesday, March 5th and enjoy a pancake dinner in honour of Shrove Tuesday.
For $10 you get 4 pancakes, 2 sausage, peameal bacon, coffee or tea and dessert.  Kids under 12 eat for $6 - 2 pancakes, 1 sausage, peameal bacon, juice and dessert.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
All proceeds from this event goes to helping the kids of Fort Erie.
