Mike Barnes’ recent book Be With: Letters to a Caregiver recounts his experiences caring for his mother through the stages of Alzheimer's. It's a personal memoir in part, telling Mike's own story, but it's also field guide, intended to help others find their way. Mike will be reading passages from his book, then open up for questions and dialogue among participants. The ‘Country Classics’ a local classic country music group, who
entertain at various senior residences and special occasions, are
presenting an ‘Olde Tyme Country Variety Show’ to benefit the
University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
The University of Ottawa Heart Institute is constantly updating their
facility and equipment to provide and ensure the best and continued
cardiovascular care, research and education for Ottawa Valley families. In
addition the Heart Institute does not receive funding from any level of
government for the purchase of this critical and highly specialized
equipment.

Lois, Kathy, Dave and, Barry are pleased to have local celebrity and
2017 Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, Roddy McCann,
as Master of Ceremonies. Other special guests include; Ralph Verch,
Anne Zadow, champion fiddler, Dean Lapierre, the Krista Rosien
stepdancers, Dave Fynn, Tim Ashick and a cameo appearance by Granny
Stewart.

The show is scheduled for Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Knights of
Columbus Hall, 170 Ellis Ave. Pembroke, and starts at 1:30 pm.
Tickets are $15. each, but, are available in advance at 2@$25. You can

You can also purchase them at Metro Grocers, Pembroke, Saar’s Store
and Van’s Pet Foods on Hwy. 41.
