Guests will enjoy one of two locally-prepared meals; one will be restaurant level faire and the other created using food bank ingredients.
This year, Food for Thought will feature a major announcement from The Mount Community Centre regarding the Building Opportunity Campaign.
Tickets are on sale at The Mount Community Centre and online for $100.

About TMCC:
The Mount Community Centre came into existence out of a single belief – that the option to redevelop the historic 131,400 square foot former home of the Sisters of St. Joseph was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
This 10 acres in the middle of the City of Peterborough was purchased in 2013 by the Peterborough Poverty Reduction Network. The facility became The Mount Community Centre after it received non-profit charitable status and it was turned over to a newly formed, volunteer, 10-member Board of Directors. The Board of Directors kick-started the project and began its redevelopment through community support and an innovative social finance plan.
Developing on site — through preservation, restoration and renovation — is the infrastructure to support a community centre that changes lives by creating opportunity and addressing community needs. The Mount Community Centre now offers apartment units at both affordable and market rates, offices for agencies to provide programs and services, spaces for performing arts and other community uses while respecting the historic character of the building.
