Stroll Windsor, a new initiative encouraging residents and visitors to take a stroll in Windsor's urban villages, is coming to Walkerville on Saturday, September 8th from 10am to 1pm.
Stroll Windsor is a grassroots, community initiative that supports, celebrates, and promotes meaningful pedestrian experiences and interactions, to foster the tradition of strolling and encourage people to discover (or re-discover) the city’s diverse neighbourhoods and local businesses.
A "Calendar of Strolls" includes dates this summer and fall when participating BIAs, local businesses and community organizations will have something special in store for participants, like free samples, tastings, tours, promos, art, installations, demos, historical tidbits, casual conversation and more.
Stroll Windsor's community partners include the City of Windsor - Arts, Culture & Heritage Fund, Ford City Residents in Action, Ford City BIA, Walkerville BIA,
Via Italia BIA, Wyandotte Town Centre BIA, and Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island.

10-year Birthday Celebration, all books $1; kids 2 for $1 at St. Clair Shores Shopping Centre, 25 Amy Croft at Manning and County Rd 22, in plaza next door to Sobeys, tucked in the corner behind Dollarama (look for Gant Terry Fox cut-out and balloons).
Saturday and Sunday, September 8, 9 and Saturday, September 15, between 9am-4pm all three days.
All proceeds are go to the Terry Fox Foundation for Cancer Research; tally added to the Tecumseh Terry Fox Run, held Sunday, September 16 at Green Acres Optimist Park at 9am. Community event, volunteer-led, and dependent solely on donated books, space and community support. To date over $135,000 has been raised through the annual book sale for cancer research. This year’s goal is to reach and surpass the $150,000 mark as the book sale celebrates year 10.
