Join us for a foot-tapping afternoon of local Valley entertainment. Fiddlers and step dancers will gather in the community centre at Miramichi Lodge on Wednesday August 22 from 1:00-3:30 pm. Set within the breathtaking Twenty Valley, Ball’s Falls Conservation Area offers spectacular scenery and natural beauty. Here you will discover Ball’s Falls has been lovingly maintained to its early mid 19th century industrial hamlet atmosphere featuring the original Ball family home, an operating flour mill, a lime kiln, a church, black smith shop, carriage shed, and more.

In addition to historical tours that take place on weekends, the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority is pleased to offer Heritage Days, taking place once a month in July, August, and September, highlighting heritage demonstrations which are sure to enhance the visitor experience. 

Heritage Days will include: 
-Blacksmith demonstrations in the blacksmith shop
-Grist Mill tour
-Niagara Handweavers and Spinners demonstration in the cabin
-Historical tours of the Ball Home

Come on out into nature, and learn all about Ball's Falls, and its heritage.

The Lawrence House hosts tis first "Artisans on the Lawn," Fri., Aug. 3 to Sat., Aug. 4.  Local artisans will be selling jewelry, fabric art, pottery and paintings in tents.  Harmony for Youth will supply a food area throughout the 2-day event.  Musicians Mike Blackmore & Sherry Abram will provide music on Fri. evening.  Sat. there will be face painting for the children and more musicians during the afternoon.  Admission is free.

Avec notre conférencière invitée, Geneviève Boucher, agente de pastorale aux Services diocésains de Saint-Hyacinthe, venez vivre une matinée de ressourcement et fêter l'Assomption sous le thème "Marie gardait tout dans son cœur" à l'église Assomption-de-Notre-Dame, 12960 Wilson, St-Hyacinthe, mercredi le 15 août 2018, de 9h à 12h.  Au programme, conférence entrecoupée de récitation du chapelet et de musique, suivie de la messe.

Mme Boucher s'occupe, au niveau du diocèse de St-Hyacinthe, de l'initiation biblique, de l'éducation de la foi des adultes ainsi que de la pastorale des aînés et des malades.  Elle possède une formation en Bible, en théologie, en pédagogie et en spiritualité.

Elle nous offira une réflexion sur Marie prenant appui sur l'évangile de Luc et les Actes des Apôtres.  Une invitation à venir célébrer la Fête de l'Assomption !

Quel que soit ton lieu d'adoration,tu es invité(e) à une journée de ressourcement ayant pour thème  «Reste avec nous».

Jeudi le 11 Avril de 9 h 30 à midi, au sous-sol de l'église l'Assomption ,à la salle Assomption 1 et 2 .

L'enseignement sera donné par l'abbé Jacques Binet, répondant diocésain pour les chapelles d'adoration.
