The 2018 Ban Righ Foundation Inspiring Women Event at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts will be held Thursday, Oct 25, 2018. Join us as we shine a spotlight on some of the contributions made by women at the University and in the Kingston community.
Special guests for the event include Kristin Cochrane, CEO of Penguin Random House Canada, ArtSci’94; poets, Linda Stitt and Alyssa Cooper; the Cantabile Women’s Chorus; and musicians Kris + Dee.
The Ban Righ Foundation 2018 Mentorship Award will be presented posthumously to the late Queen’s drama professor Kim Renders. The Ban Righ Foundation 2018 Leadership Award will be presented to Mara Shaw, executive director of Loving Spoonful since 2012.

416 Lakeshore is unique home that is designed for individuals living with complex mental health concerns and acute brain injuries. We are holding a bottle drive fundraiser at the Lakeshore location of the Beer Store on Saturday October 20th 2018. All proceeds from the bottle drive will go towards activities for the tenants of 416 Lakeshore
Each Wednesday @ 7:00 p.m. the Lifetree Café provides an hour-long experience packed with interesting stories, fascinating people and lively conversation that will feed your soul. Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting.The main entrée at Lifetree Café is food for thought. Come and enjoy a comfortable safe place. A place to meet old friends and make new ones. Admission to the 60-minute event is free.
