Belleville Public Library is pleased to welcome back local author Dan Buchanan who will be speaking about his new book, 38 Hours to Montreal. This story follows Governor General Charles Thomson as he raced to make it from Toronto to Montreal in just 38 hours in 1840. Enlisting the help of “The Stagecoach King,” William Weller, Thomson travels over the treacherous roads in a specially adapted sleigh. This book talk will take place on Sat. Oct. 13 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm in the 3rd-floor meeting room. No registration is required for this free event.
