Members of the public are invited to join the Town of Essex for its official ribbon cutting at the brand new Essex Centre Splash Pad on Tuesday, June 26 at 1:30 pm.

The splash pad, which features a fun sports theme, will help keep local families and their kids cool through hot summer months for years to come.

“With splash pads in Harrow and Colchester, we are very excited to provide this amenity to the residents of Essex Centre,” said Doug Sweet, Director of Community Services. “The splash pad was a priority project identified by the community in the 2015 Recreation Master Plan, and we’re happy to deliver.”

The grand opening event will feature brief speeches and a ribbon cutting. After the ribbon cutting, the splash pad will be ready to enjoy, operating seven days per week until the end of August.

The splash pad is part of the Essex Centre Sports Complex, located at 60 Fairview Avenue W., Essex Centre.

They were the guardians of nature, woodland animals and gardens. They were helpful if you respected them, but caused problems when you didn't. In this workshop children will created their own fantastical woodland village using natural and recycled materials.
