On the Downtown Chatham History Walk, there will be stories about arson, haunted buildings, 200 years of floods on the Thames River, the Black Mecca, shipbuilding, the opera house, famous criminals and crimes, and more. The stories will be told while you are looking at the buildings and places where they happened. 

To join the Walk, meet under the Centennial Clock, corner of King Street West & Fifth Street, just before 2 p.m. It's free and it will happen rain or shine.

The tour will include stories of buildings, streets, and customs that have disappeared. There are photos of them on theveranda.ca/presents, if you’d like to have a look. If you have a mobile device with you on the walk, you will be able to see the pictures of what they were like years ago as they are being talked about.

This exciting program features music highlighting various sections of the orchestra: Brass and Percussion in  Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man, Holst’s St. Paul Suite for the Strings, the whole orchestra performing Schubert's beloved Unfinished Symphony and more! In commemoration of over 20 years of successful involvement in community arts, we are pleased to be able to present the 7th annual Renfrew Art Guild Art in the Park!

First launched in 2012, this year Art in the Park is a one-day free family-oriented gathering promoting arts, culture, recreation and tourism, and exhibits Renfrew Art Guild member artists and independent artisans from the greater Ottawa Valley area.

Artists display and sell high calibre works in a small tent city and attracts visitors from across the Ottawa Valley, Perth, Deep River, and beyond.
