Join us as our Niagara communities serving seniors come together for the first annual A Dance To Remember Alzheimer's Benefit. All funds raised will be donated to the Alzheimer's Society of the Niagara Region.

In the Niagara Region, there are over 10,000 people experiencing progressive dementia and the number of cases continues to grow.  Last year, they saw almost 1,900 new referrals and at any given time, 750 families receive services.

This event is an afternoon delight of fun with music and dancing featuring live swing superstar Alex Pangman & band! Refreshments and light snacks will also be provided while you groove the afternoon away.

Tickets are $10 each and are available to purchase at all 3 Niagara Boggio's Pharmacy locations.

We'll have some amazing prizes to be won at our raffle table as well as a 50/50 to raise funds for Alzheimer's.

Lambton Kent District School Board’s Gregory Drive Public School Stages Shakespeare for Education Week.

In the spirit of Education Week, Gregory Drive Public School is putting on a performance in honour of the literary genius William Shakespeare. In a production titled, Much Ado About Shakespeare. That’s right; students from grade 4-8 will be performing and speaking in Shakespearean language.

In a students’ take on Shakespeare’s classics, a twist is added when more modern characters are put into the mix. The students’ interpretations on Shakespeare’s complex narratives become modified to meet present-day entertainment. Curiosity strikes when Henry V is told ‘The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow’ by Annie. Throw Dorothy from the Wizard Of Oz into a scene from Hamlet, and the result will surprise.  Come see what happens when Romeo and Juliet face off against their modern equivalent Tony and Maria from West Side Story?

Come join the cast for an evening of parodies on Shakespeare’s tragedies, histories, and comedies on Wednesday, May 9th and Thursday, May 10th at 7pm at Gregory Drive Public School Gymnasium.  Admission is free and we only ask for monetary donations so we may continue to put on productions like this one in the future.

Please contact Brock MacKenzie or Kim Jackson (Kim.Jackson@lkdsb.net) for more information.
