November 25 & 26 the River Lights Winter Festival presents its 5th annual Holiday House Tour in beautiful Amherstburg. Tickets are being sold at the Gordon House (268 Dalhousie St.), Amherstburg Sobeys, Country Bliss, Dusty Loft Antique and Collectibles, and Windsor Crossings Premium Outlets as well as online at riverlights.ca. Included in the $25 ticket price is tea service, a holiday craft sale and new this year, a spectacular Christmas Tree Dress Exhibit.

Rotary LaSalle Calls for Humanitarian Award Nominations!  Who May Apply? Any citizen of the Town of LaSalle 18 years of age or older. Preference will be given to those who have worked on water, health, or education projects. The Rotary Club of LaSalle Centennial Awards Committee will conduct the selection of the deserving candidate. Please include photographs and/or reports supporting the submission. Deadline, January 15.  

Windsor on Watch, a local environmental and social justice community organization, and the local chapter of the Council of Canadians are sponsoring a public forum on November 18 to talk about the Leap Manifesto and its implications for our community. The event will be held in downtown Windsor at the University’s Social Work Building at 167 Ferry St. from 2-4pm. It is a free event and open to public.

November 27, citizens of Wards 1 and 2 are invited to meet with Councillors Steve Bjorkman and Randy Voakes (Ward 1), Deputy Mayor Richard Meloche (Ward 2), and Mayor Ron McDermott in the Shaheen Room at the Essex Centre Sports Complex, 60 Fairview Avenue West.

November 28, citizens of Wards 3 and 4 are invited to meet with Councillors Larry Snively and Ron Rogers (Ward 3), Sherry Bondy (Ward 4), and Mayor Ron McDermott at the Harrow and Colchester South Community Centre, 243 McAffee Street.
