This class integrates movement from ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary dance techniques to stretch and strengthen the body, improve posture and balance and engage the mind. Thinking like a dancer helps participants regain physical confidence in their own bodies. Classes are taught by experienced dance educators/dance artists. This class is also suitable for those living with MS, A.B.I and Stroke. Caregivers are encouraged to attend.

Registration starts Wednesday Dec 13th at 11am 905-885-2626 ext 280

Fee: $60 for participants, $40 for caregivers

Wednesday Mar 21st to May 23rd (10 weeks)

Calling all gents who enjoy being in the kitchen! This class is open to any man who has participated in the ‘Men’s Cooking Club’ before or who enjoys food and is looking to increase their cooking skills and confidence. Participants may sign up for either group A (Starts Jan 17th) or group B (Starts Feb 27th), as both groups will cook the same meals. These classes are hands on and we always enjoy the delicious food together. $15.00 per series.

Group A: Jan 17th, Jan 24th and Feb 13th

Group B: Feb 27th, Mar 13th and Mar 27th

This group meets once a month and creates three main dishes, one soup or one salad to take away. We assign tasks and duties as a group. Please bring your own containers suitable for freezing and re-heating. This is a hands on workshop. Food Costs $8.00 per session.

In support of the food security programs here at the Centre we are inviting community members to join us for lunch. Prior to lunch being served, Adam Hudson will host an “Ask a Dietitian” session and review all the secrets on how to recreate this meal at home. You must register and pay prior to the event. $6.00 per session
