On Saturday, November 11, The Maple Leaf Brass Band of Ottawa will be presenting A Festival of Remembrance on the St. John's Stage at St. John's United Church, 32 Park Street, Brockville. Compered by tenor Christopher Coyea, featuring bassist Alex Fleuriau Chateau and the St. John's United Church Choir. Tickets are $15. The annual craft sale and bazaar hosted by the residents of Van Horne Manor takes place Friday November 17 from 9am-1pm. A wide variety of crafts of all kinds available to assist with your Christmas shopping. New vendors are welcome but asked to bring a donation for the food bank. Sarnia Lambton Christmas Home Tour 2017
Featuring five festively decorated heritage and contemporary homes located in Sarnia and Bright's Grove on Front Street, Colborne Road, Brigden Road, Avenue Road and Sandpiper Drive. A wonderful opportunity to get some holiday decorating ideas for your own place, based on the inspiration provided by the home designers who have volunteered using supplies provided by local stores and merchants.
Supporting merchants and designers include: Russell Street Home Hardware, DeGroot's Nurseries, Flowers Forever Designs by Sue; Bill Bush Flowers - Jenny's Floral Studio, Real Canadian Superstore; Painted Treasures; JYSK and Rustic Gate.
Tickets are available from local IODE members as well as Rotary Club of Sarnia-Lambton After-Hours members, as well as the following retailers; DeGroot's Nurseries, Jenny's Floral Studio, Russell Street Home Hardware, Flowers forever Designs by Sue, Praill's Greenhouses, Petrolia Mercantile and Tea, Scotiabank (Bright's Grove), Sipken's Nurseries and at Hospitality Centre 9Sarnia Riding Club) on the days of the event.
A portion of the proceeds will support Lambton Elderly Outreach.

The Town of Tecumseh Senior Advisory Committee has received funding under the Seniors Community Grant Program for a pilot project with Life After Fifty. The pilot project affords Tecumseh seniors the benefit of attending either LAF Centre.
Seniors may become members of LAF at an annual cost of $150. Membership enables the individual to participate in any of the exciting programs & events that take place at either West or East Side Centre. Additional fees may be applied for specific programs or workshops. Applications for the Life After Fifty Membership Program are available at Tecumseh Town Hall.
