CNIB is currently looking to fill 2 specific Volunteer Opportunities in the Kingston location.
Sales Assistant for Shop CNIB, Volunteering on a weekly basis for 2-3 hours per shift, you will be responsible for the following tasks: Demonstrate and provide information on products, complete cash and credit card transactions,respond to telephone calls and return messages, assist customers with online orders, other duties as required, may include: pack and prepare purchases for shipping, organize orders for pick up and call people to advise they are ready, tidy and restock shelves and displays, assist with inventory count, prepare stock orders and repair order forms.
CNIB Volunteer Driver-Guide who is available once a week, on Tuesday's during normal office hours. As a Driver-Guide you will drive CNIB service staff or volunteers who are blind or partially sighted and are travelling on CNIB business. If you are friendly and reliable, have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, and would be comfortable driving the CNIB agency vehicle, we would like to hear from you.
Public Announcement - Niagara - Encore! Professional Concert Series presents: Jump
A program that springs across the spectrum of classical music, Guy Few (trumpet and piano) and Stephanie Mara (piano) present Jump, which explores the quirkier side of repertoire for trumpet and piano, and piano four-hand. Energetic and exciting, the music hops from classical bebop to chorale, a tarantella to a ballad, and lyrical melodies to wild dancing. Cross-cultural, historical and harmonic styles are depicted in this thrilling program that will have audiences jumping to their feet.

Public Announcement - Niagara - Dramatic Arts Symposium: The State of Our Art
Our world as we know it is rapidly changing, with scholars identifying present events as ‘post-normal’ (O’Connor and Anderson 2015). In this climate of anxiety and political uncertainty, how is the practice of drama in education and applied theatre a means to respond to and attempt to speak back to these times? The lectures and workshops will offer key insights into how our scholars use this practice to grapple with these issues.

Public Announcement - Niagara - A One Night Exhibition: Invasive Species
On JANUARY 17, 2018, students from 3M90 Advanced Art Practices will be transplanting their work into the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts building. Everyone is invited to explore this one night exhibition between 4pm and 9pm. Maps will help you navigate the space to see the works---some easy to find--- some more hidden.
INVASIVE SPECIES is a collective of works from 3M90 students, focusing on themes of information, architecture, the archive, regionality, subjectivity and objectivity, death, resilience, ecology, mental health, space, the institution, invasive and symbiotic species and site-specific art. The works range from painting, drawing, video, projection, animation, performance and installation. All the works are responsive to the site.
Participating student artists are: Hani Ahmed, Jess Angelevski, Teresa Badgley, Jessica Bradley, Tom Denton, Isabella Domaradzki, Kylie Haveron, Emma Hutchison-Hounsell, Laura Levesque, Avery Mikolic-O'Rourke, Amanda Misale, Anna Podvalni, Victoria Reid, Kourtney Spadoni, Desiree Veinot.
