Kids Corp's annual Breakfast with Mrs. Claus fundraising event will be held at The Renfrew Armouries on Saturday, December 2nd from 8:00am-11:00am. Tickets are $7.00/adult and $5.00/child(3+ years)
Raffle table with new and amazing prizes, children's area, photo booth and story time with Mrs. Claus at 10:00am

The beautifully-decorated historic sanctuary with its superb acoustics will ring with the sound of familiar carols as well as solos from classical singers, Elizabeth MacDonald and Robert Martin, and anthems from the combined choirs of Bridge St. Church and Vocalese, from Brighton. Instrumentals will be provided by Music Director, Mitchell Cox, on piano and organ, augmented by English handbell choirs and trombone player, Ben Perrier.
This concert is a must for people of all ages who want to recapture the true spirit of Christmas in song. There is no admission charge. Freewill offerings of any amount will be gratefully accepted for the church’s music outreach programs. Hot cider and sweets will be served up afterwards, downstairs in the Sills Auditorium. The fully accessible church is located on the corner of Bridge Street East and Church Street in Belleville.

The Town of Essex will be hosting a Family Meal Prep and Cooking Class, just in time for the busy holiday season. This program is offered in partnership with the South West Area Recreation Guild, thanks to funding from the Healthy Kids Community Challenge. Local registered dietitian, Andrea Docherty, will host the cooking class on December 10, 2-3:30pm at the Essex Centre Sports Complex, 60 Fairview Ave. W., Essex. The cost of the class is $20 for one parent and up to two children and includes three take-home meals. Financial assistance is also available for families that qualify. Capacity is limited and spots will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. To register your family or to inquire about financial assistance, contact the Essex Recreation Complex at 519-776-8992.
Extension-Korda is hosting auditions its first show of 2018 season, Not Another High School Murder (An Unauthorized Riverdale/Heathers Parody). Auditions will be held December 11, 7-9:30pm and December 12, 7-8pm. Auditions will be by appointment. Email gemmaeva21@gmail.com for information and to book your audition. CASTING: Open casting for males and females 16-55 year of age. Come prepared with a 1 minute comedic monologue, 16 bars from a contemporary musical, and be ready to cold read. Experience in acting, singing, and dancing is recommended but not necessary. There will be a small ensemble of 5-6 people for this show.
