A Celebration of Kingston Composers by the piano trio Accord (Douglas Handforth, viola; Jennifer Tindale, cello; Fran Harkness, piano) with guest artists Andrew Dicker, violin and Dave Barton, guitar, takes place on Friday, April 19th, 5.15 pm. at St. James Anglican Church, 10 Union Street, Kingston.  Music composed by Dave Barton, David Cameron, Michael Capon, Daniel McConnachie, Marjan Mozetich, John Palmer, and Renata Van Vliet.  Free admission. The Artists of Colour invite you to our Opening night on April 26, at 7 p.m. at Mackenzie Hall and Cultural Centre and The Common Ground Gallery.  Join us for an enjoyable evening of inspirational art, music and photography. Learn about our history through The Stories We Tell. The Hall will be open daily from 10 a.m.until 4p.m. There will be scheduled tours for public school children and we will host a night of poetry and song on May 4. Come and join us. An entry Fee will be charged on Opening night only. 

The Gala de reconnaissance des francophones exemplaires is a chique evening that pays tribute to all those who make our community a warm and welcoming place. These people are volunteers, teachers, people like you who participate in the many activities and events organized by the region's francophone organizations. Need help using a computer? The Niagara Regional Learning Centre can help. A free computer basics course starts April 9th for adults (seniors welcome!) in St. Catharines. Classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:00 to 11:30. There will be eight classes altogether. Laptops provided for use during classes. We cover email use including sending photos and documents via attachments, how to browse websites for information, improve your keyboarding skills and internet safety tips.
