LIVE MUSIC: Section 53 was formed in late 2019 whose sound fits somewhere between folk and rock with a hint of blues. Castleford United Church is holding a fundraiser featuring Gillan Rutz, being held at the Horton Community Centre (1005 Castleford Road) on Sunday, October 2, 1:30-4:00. Gillan’s show features tales throughout the Ottawa Valley over the past five decades and Grand Ole Opry songs.  Doors Open at 1:00, with refreshment served.  Tickets are $12.00 at the Door, and $10.00 in Advance. St. Paul's Newcomer's Mission has been approved as the sole Peterborough charity for "Ride for Refuge" event in our city.

This event will be held on Sat., October 1st and will be held at Beavermead Park at 3pm

This is a fundraising event, and you are invited to either

(a) join an existing team

(b) form your own team or

(c)  financially support some of the participants.  

The event will feature your choice of a 2.5 km walk, a 5 km walk or a 10 km bike ride or a 20 km bike ride

(if you choose to captain a team you can choose the length and mode of transport your team will use.)
