Casual Choir is for those who love singing for the fun of it, even if you think you're tone deaf! Music is good for the soul and we come together to sing our hearts out. Call 613-732-8844. This group is for all ages of adults and teens. You don't need any knowledge of music reading or anything!

Guest speaker - Michele Leering (B.A., LL.B., M.Ad. Ed., PhD. Candidate – Queen’s University) is Community Advocacy and Legal Centre’s (CALC) Executive Director and a lawyer. Initially providing legal services to CALC’s clients as a traditional community lawyer, key commitments since joining CALC in 1985 have included founding a domestic violence services’ coordination network, organizing injured workers, and instigating local participatory action research projects into poverty, homelessness, and, more recently, access to justice, as well as undertaking legal needs and other research. In November 2020, Michele was appointed to the Order of Canada as a Member, which recognizes individuals who have made a difference in the country.

Honoured guest - Karen Poste was the City of Belleville’s Manager of Economic Development for 24 years. As Manager of Economic Development Karen helped to keep our community economically stable and moving forward through all the changes. Karen’s goal was to help our new and existing businesses grow and prosper. Just recently, Karen took on a new and exciting position of the Manager of Physician Recruitment and Retention for the City of Belleville. In this new position, Karen will continue to support the City and our community.

The Rotary Clubs of Belleville, Quinte Sunrise and Trenton are proud to host the 53rd annual Concert of Stars at Maranatha Christian Reform Church on College Street at 7:00 pm on May 17th, 2023.  We have selected the best performances during our Quinte Rotary Music Festival week and are having them perform tonight.

This event is free to attend and has been a highlight for many over the years.

The Rotary Clubs of Belleville, Quine Sunrise and Trenton are proud to host the 53rd annual Quinte Rotary Music Festival during the week of April 17th to April 21st.

The piano classes will be held at Eastminster United Church.  The voice classes will be held at St. Matthews United Church and the strings and bands will be at the Salvation Army Church.   

The Silver Trophy Competition will be held on Friday evening April 21st at St. Matthews United Church at 7:00 pm

Our Concert of Stars will be held at Maranatha Church on Wednesday May17th at 7:00 pm.

All events are free and all are welcome!

WMBA Wallaceburg Minor Baseball Association is hosting a pancake breakfast fundraiser on March 4th at the Wallaceburg Legion from 8:30am-noon.

 

This event is being held to help build dugouts at one of the Glen Mickle baseball diamonds. Raising this money is so important because our fastball league’s home field is Glen Mickle.

Each year, the month of February is devoted to not only the celebrations, but the reminders of historic events in Canadian Black History.

This concert will feature some of the musical works of famous Black composers throughout history. From William Grant Still to Duke Ellington, Harry Burleigh to Oscar Peterson, this concert will provide an educational experience into the music that shaped the 20th and 21st Century.

Presented in St. Andrew’s historic sanctuary, it will feature St. Andrew's Concert Choir as well as many singers and instrumentalists from the community.

Doors open at 6:30pm
Shows at 7:00pm
