The 52nd Annual Gem and Mineral Show sponsored by the Kingston Lapidary and Mineral Club. 

The show and sale features riches from the earth and includes: unique jewellery, crystal treasures, minerals and gemstones, exotic fossils and gemstone carvings, a children's mine and jewellery workshop and hourly door prizes. 

This event is held over three days October 11, 12 and 13 at the Event Centre, St. Lawrence College, 100 Portsmouth Avenue, Kingston. 

Admission is only $5.00 for all three days and children under 12 are free.

Community Event - Windsor/Leamington - World Homelessness Day Food Drive

Homelessness is on the rise in Windsor Essex County. On October 10th help us to recognize world homelessness day.

 

We will be holding a food drive on October 10th to fill our Food Bank for those in need. Thank you to Loblaws, No Frills, Tailgate Takeout and Windsor Police Service for your support. 

Our Food drive will be held from 11AM-4 PM at all below locations. Monetary donations will also be collected. Non expired and non perishables only please.

A free BBQ will be held at the Windsor Centre of Hope (355 Church Street)  to anyone in need of a hot meal. Our BBQ will be held in our parking lot from 11AM-2PM. Monetary and non perishables will be collected if you wish to do so.

October is celebrated as Islamic Her/History Month in Canada and gives us an opportunity to learn about Islam and honour the rich history and diversity of Canadian Muslims and Muslims living across the globe.

Niagara LIP is pleased to offer a free, virtual workshop-Islam: Its Roots & Wings.
