Join us for an afternoon of golf to benefit the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society (LAWS) at our 17th Annual Golf Tournament. LAWS is dedicated to the well-being of animals in our community, and your participation in this event will help us continue our important mission.

Date: June 24th, 2023

Time: Registration opens at 12:00 noon, first tee-off is at 1:00 pm EDT

Location: Liftlock Golf Club 2320 Ashburnham Drive, Peterborough, ON K9J 6X9

Link to register: https://www.lakefieldanimalwelfare.org/golf/

Get ready for a thrilling day on the green with our shotgun start and scramble format. The tournament features 18 holes of golf, with a golf cart provided for each participant. To keep you refreshed throughout the day, a drink ticket will be included.

After an exciting round of golf, we invite you to join us for a delicious dinner. Indulge in a satisfying meal and mingle with your fellow animal lovers. During dinner, we have an array of exciting prizes up for grabs, and a silent auction will provide an opportunity for you to bid on fantastic items, all in support of LAWS.

Registration for the tournament is $130 per person, which includes a $65 tax receiptable donation. Your generous contribution will directly benefit LAWS and assist us in our efforts to find loving homes for adoptable animals. Every animal that comes into our care receives necessary vetting, and vaccinations, and is spayed or neutered in an effort to emphasize educating the community about disease prevention and population control.

Interested in sponsorship opportunities? As a sponsor, your brand will receive prominent visibility at the tournament, allowing you to showcase your commitment to the community and gain valuable exposure among a diverse audience of golfers, animal lovers, and the local community. Your support will be recognized and appreciated by all participants, creating a positive association between your brand and the compassionate cause of animal welfare.

To discover the various sponsorship packages we offer and to learn more about the benefits of sponsoring our event, we encourage you to visit our website at https://www.lakefieldanimalwelfare.org/golf-sponsor/ or reach out to Marilyn Strain, President, Board of Directors, LAWS at marilynstrain@gmail.com.

Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to combine your love for golf with supporting a worthy cause. Join us on June 24th for the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society’s 17th Annual Golf Tournament. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of animals in need.

About Lakefield Animal Welfare Society

The Lakefield Animal Welfare Society, founded in 1993, is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless, abandoned, and injured animals in our community and finding adoptive homes for them. With a handful of paid staff, we rely on our caring and experienced volunteers every day. We are a “no-kill” shelter and work very hard at finding homes for even the most difficult to place animals. We do not believe that euthanasia is an acceptable method of population control, but that spay and neutering is the only humane way to combat the problem. LAWS is run strictly on donations, memberships and adoption fees. We do not benefit from any outside government or private sector funding.

Rain gardens can be a beautiful addition to any yard and can allow the planting of some truly interesting plants. They also help the environment by infiltrating water to clean it and restore the water table and base flow (the water that seeps through the ground to our creeks). Sean will join us virtually to discuss how to design and build a rain garden, including placement, construction, and plant choices.

Refreshments and a business section to follow.
