Community Event - Burlington/Oakville - Electronics Recycling Event - Saturday, Sept. 16
at Grace United Church on Saturday September 16, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The items being collected will be processed by Quantum Lifecycle Partners LP. The materials will be safely recycled so that the items do not end up in landfills. On the day of the event members of our congregation, along with local teens, will unload the cars as they arrive so that people did not have to leave the comfort of their own car, just drive in and drop off.

Public Notices/Announcements - Brockville/Prescott - Faculty Artist's Series Community Concert
The Brockville Community Choir will be joining the Kingston Baroque Consort, The Martello Alley Cats and Kings DON Taiko in concert
at the Isabel Bader Performing Arts Centre in Kingston.
Sunday September 24th at 7:30 p.m.
Adults $20, Students $8, Live Streaming $8
A selection of different music will be presented by King’s DON Taiko percussionists and the singers & instrumentalists of The Martello Alley Cats.
Movements from J.S. Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major will be performed by the Kingston Baroque Consort and Bob Chilcott’s A Little Jazz Mass by The Brockville Community Choir.
Everyone will combine at the end to perform Christopher Tin’s Sogno di Volare from Civilization VI.

Community Event - Burlington/Oakville - Annual Food for Feedback Event
Annual Food for Feedback Event
Burlington is hosting it’s 3rd annual Food for Feedback event on Sat., Sept. 16 between noon and 4 p.m. at Central Park (2299 New St.). Residents can come to enjoy a free meal in exchange for sharing their thoughts on City projects. City staff, Mayor Meed Ward and members of Council will be there to listen to resident feedback.
The free drop-in event features more than 26 booths and four food trucks. There is a special area called the 'Kidz Zone' sponsored by Canadian Tire where children can have fun while family members provide feedback on City projects.
Feedback collected at the event will help the City continue to improve services and initiatives.

- Saturday, Sept. 16, between noon and 4 p.m. at Central Park, 2299 New St.
If it rains, the event will move to the Burlington Senior's Centre.
This year, the City will be seeking feedback and sharing information on topics including:
- Burlington Transit
- Climate resiliency
- Customer experience with the City
- Civic Square renewal
- Future use of former Robert Bateman High School
- Transportation options
- Recreation
- Parks
- Official Plan revisions, and more!

Community Event - Burlington/Oakville - Applefest Fall Fair, Oct 1 at Ireland House Museum
Celebrate the fall season at Applefest Fall Fair on October 1, from 10am – 2pm on the grounds of Ireland House Museum. The day will be filled with family entertainment on the main stage with shows from BarryO Kidshow, Wild Ontario, and CRASH Rhythm. The event will also include an Apple Scavenger Hunt, vendor market, food truck, historic demonstrations, and tours of the historic Ireland House Museum.
Capacity is limited, please pre-register for the event, reservations are available at 10am and 12pm. Walk-in guests will be accommodated, space permitting. Ticket includes mainstage entertainment, Apple Scavenger Hunt, and Museum tour.
Adults – $10
Children (3-12) and Seniors (65+) – $8
Under 2 – Free
Family (2 adults, and up to 4 children) – $35
(members receive 10% off)
Parking is available at MM Robinson High School, please note, the walk to Ireland House Museum is approximately 10 minutes (1 km).

Families are invited to join 1st Port Nelson Scouts for a FREE Open House. Kids and parents are invited to meet some of our volunteer section leaders at this informal drop-in event to learn about the upcoming program year.
Our programs help youth discover self-confidence, teamwork & leadership skills while developing a caring attitude & respect for the environment, their communities & their world.

Since 1949, 1st Port Nelson Scouts has been an active youth organization in Burlington with thousands of youth members having come through our program! Our group brings a world of adventure, outdoor experience and friendship to girls and boys in our community.

Sarnia & District Labour Council hosts the 'Labour Day Parade' to celebrate our Labour Community in Lambton County.
