Five Counties is excited to be partnering with the Peterborough Lakers for Little Lakers Night planned for the Lakers’ final regular season home game on July 27. Five Counties staff, volunteers and families will be present at the game, holding a raffle, organizing face painting and other activities, and taking part in the ceremonial pre-game ball drop.

“The Peterborough Century 21 Lakers and Five Counties Children’s Centre are a winning combination, and we’re very pleased to be partnering with the team on some wonderful initiatives for our kids and families,” says Scott Pepin, CEO with Five Counties. “Five Counties is honoured to be part of the Lakers’ ‘drive for five’ this season.”

For their part, the Lakers are happy to partner with Five Counties on these exciting initiatives, says team spokesperson Jordan Winch.

“The Peterborough Century 21 Lakers believe in giving back to the community – on and off the floor – so we are thrilled to work with Five Counties to spotlight its services and welcome kids and families who use the Centre’s services to enjoy thrilling lacrosse action live and in person,” says Winch, the Lakers’ Coordinator of Marketing, Sales and Community Events.

The Wallaceburg and District Museum is please to announce out Bus Trip to Run Runners.  Friday, July 28, 2023, Windsor, ON.  A four hour live action bus tour where costumed  characters tell the story of prohibition in Windsor and Detroit during the roaring twenties.  Enjoy your hot buffet lunch at a re-enacted speakeasy while you are entertained with live music, singing and comedy.

Wings over Wallaceburg presented by the Wallaceaburg and District Museum.  Friday, July 7 and Saturday, July 8, 2023.  10am to 4pm.  Come out and learn about Wallaceburgs airport.  We will have display, artifacts, aircraft models, pictures, flight simulators and BBQ. This is a two day event that you will not want to miss.  So sore on over to the museum.

Calling all Artist's to the Wallaceburg and District art room.  This is open to ALL mediums and ages.  Jury Choice and People's Choice Awards.  Deadline for entries is June 30, 2023 at 4pm.  The exhibition will be on display from July 4 to July 30, 2023, from 10am to 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday.  Closing ceremonies and awards ceremonies will take place July 27, 2023 at the Wallaceburg Museum between 6pm to 8pm. $15 per entry.  For more information please feel free to call 519 627 8952, email at museumpr@kent.net.  See our facebook page or web site for more information.

Celebrations Kick Off With June 17th Breakfast For Pilots & Community Prince Edward Flying Club (PEFC) is launching its 70th anniversary celebrations on Saturday, June 17th with a Fly-in breakfast on Father’s Day weekend. Breakfast will be served up at the Flying Club, 343 County Rd 22, Picton at Base31. Rain date is June 18th. The community and pilots are invited to enjoy a hot breakfast from 8:30 to 11:00 am. Cost is $15 for adults, free for children 5 years and under. In addition to also listening to some toe-tapping music by Celtic performer Mark McGreevy, visitors will have opportunities to chat with pilots and see a variety of aircraft.
