The Stress Management IN-PERSON Workshop is facilitated on a monthly basis by the Rapids Family Health Team Social Work Team to provide information on how to effectively manage stress.

Topics include:

· How to identify triggers and respond to stress

· Causes, factors, & symptoms of stress

· Coping skills and how to manage  stress

· Strategies to challenge unhelpful thinking

· Balancing thoughts

· Relaxation  & Resiliency techniques

FREE 3-week class that explores the unique nutrition needs of seniors.  

Learn why healthy eating is important for older adults, including:

¨ lowering risk of cognitive decline

¨ lowering risk of fractures, and falls

¨ maintaining a healthy heart and more

Also Learn how to handle common challenges that affect seniors such as:

¨ shopping on a budget

¨ cooking for one

¨ challenges with appetite and meeting nutritional needs

This island community along the north shore of Lake Ontario, in south-eastern Ontario, Canada, is recognized as the birthplace of the canning industry in Canada as we know it today. Learn about its founder, canning giant Wellington Boulter, and how the industry expanded from his first canning factory in Picton, to more than 100 across Prince Edward County, and the eventual demise of this once flourishing industry.
