Enjoy blue and green outdoor lighting displays as buildings and landmarks across Ontario are lit in blue and green to celebrate Community Living Month on Monday, May 8, 2023!

Take a self-guided tour of lighting displays at these Huntsville locations, starting at dusk:

Come and join Rainbow 101 in conjunction with Trinity United Church, Smiths Falls in welcoming Francois Zarraga

aka Miss Cleo Longaria and Kitigan Zibi Anishinaabe Algonquin Elder 2S

Francois Zarraga was born in Madrid Spain in 1960. Francois was brought up in residential schools for the aboriginal community in Montréal throughout the 60’s. Francois was removed from residential school at age 9 by his father and then moved to Ottawa and Aylmer Québec.

Francois as been in touch with the Algonquin nation since discovering the identity of his mother, she was born in Maniwaki Quebec in the Algonquin reserved called Kitigan Zibi Anishabe reservation.

Francois was blessed as an Elder for the Two Spirit community first of all from Duck Lake Saskatchewan and then Kitigan ZIbi. Francois has been teaching about Two Spirit leaders in many communities across Canada.

Francois has been going to schools across Quebec teaching native culture and its ancestry and the way teaching was done on reserves for the Elders.

There will be a potluck dinner before the presentation, please bring a dish of your choice. Not coming for the potluck, no problem, the presentation will start at 7pm.
