A walk to raise awareness and funds for Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan - Peterborough chapter.  Join us to register at 1:30 in the church hall where red pashminas, natural stone jewellery and books will be for sale.  Proceeds to educational aid for women and children in Afghanistan.  At 2 pm hear speaker Selay Ghaffar, an Afghan woman activist. The walk through East City starts at 3 pm.

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is working through stage 1.3 of the Ministry of Health's planning process to build a new hospital in Huntsville on the existing property, and a new hospital in Bracebridge at a new location. 

MAHC is excited to hold a series of six (6) in-person Community Information Sessions from April 17 to 22, 2023, and virtual sessions on April 24 and April 26, 2023. At these sessions we will:

  • Review our planning journey and our progress to date
  • Update you on the site selection process for a new location of the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH)

Spring beverages are best enjoyed with lovely mugs! Create a personalized mug using the library's Cricut cutting machine and Cricut Mug Press. We will provide all of the materials and walk you through the steps. 

Cost is $10 per person, cash only. Payment must be received before the program.

Familiarity with using computers is required.

Are you looking for information about foot problems and foot care for persons with diabetes? The Diabetes, Healthy Feet and You community workshop will provide you with information and education on effective self-monitoring, prevention, early detection, and treatment of diabetic foot ulcers.
