The Milton Historical Society SummerFest Extravaganza is back on Saturday June 3rd, in conjunction with the Milton Downtown Business Improvement Area's SummerFest. The Society's Extravaganza takes place from noon to 6 p.m. at the Waldie Blacksmith Shop and will feature something for everyone, including a garage sale, gift shop items like mugs, Christmas ornaments and gift certificates, selected book shop items that will be signed by their authors, live blacksmith demonstrations and classic cars. Join the historic church of St. Jude's Anglican, Oakville in a triumphant celebration of King Charles III's coronation. This special service, sung by the St. Jude's Evensong Choir and guest singers (50 singers in total), will feature music written by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Herbert Howells, and George Frideric Handel. The service will also include music by Canadian-American composer Maxine Thévenot and a newly composed organ voluntary, written for the service, by Mark Himmelman. Following the service please join us for a reception in the church's beautiful Victoria Hall. All are welcome and no tickets are required (a free will offering will be collected).
